As the UX/UI Designer, you are motivated and you have a passion for ecommerce. You support with the strategy, project management and development to create leading ecommerce experiences that are user focused. The UI/UX Designer will be responsible for the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design and support solve any problems by staying up-to-date with best practices and emerging trends in user experience design and user interface technology.

Responsibilities:
    Website Production
    • Strategy and development of high-quality web pages and components to increase guest engagement, optimize website performance and drive sales
    • Develop cross-browser compatible HTML, CSS and JavaScript
    • Manage content publishing schedule and deployment activities for website including variations required for segmentation. (plan, build, QA and deploy)
    • Achieve channel KPIs (sessions & revenue)
    • Liaise with IT team for support with publishing and site issues
    • Tag management - Ensure site elements and campaigns are strategically tagged & tracked
    • UI/UX Development
      • Assist in workflow optimizations as well as developing new techniques for visual display, information presentation, and the client experience
      • You will be measured by your output and expected to be relentless in pursuit of elegance, simplicity and innovation to focus the consumer on our products
      • Champion User Experience Design initiatives, such as creation of design guidelines, process enhancements, toolkits, etc., fostering a user-centered culture
      • Drive the development and communication of design guidelines, patterns, and reusable libraries
      • Continuously drive towards a superior user experience using novel design concepts
      • Develop a deep understanding of Kit and Ace visual design principles and how they can be adapted and applied across multiple platforms
      • A/B test design changes, functionality updates and customer touch points to optimize conversion
      • Analyze usability and design of existing or competitive products and features
      • Drive competitive assessments, compile external and internal research, and perform site/application heuristic reviews, then cultivate understanding of Internet and industry trends
      • Innovate the visual user interface standards to address business, brand, market, and consumer requirements
      • Maintain visual guidelines to ensure consistent representation of the Kit and Ace brand across each individual device and application
      • Collaborate with teams to produce best practice, world-class design solutions mapping to user need and expectations, ability to then share insights with the fellow designers
      • Partner with others in the broader design community to develop and extend the experience across the array of offerings
      • Weekly reporting for website KPIs - includes content performance, funnel analysis and engagement
      • Gather insights and report on key opportunities & findings

Competencies:
  • University degree in a relevant subject, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience UX/UI experience in a Ecommerce environment
  • Experience designing responsive web and/or mobile apps
  • Ability to think at a high level about product strategy and vision
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability toward the products you create
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as HTML and JavaScript would be an asset
  • The ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in site optimization including user testing and A/B testing
  • Your curiosity is limitless – you seek to understand the “why” to reach the best design recommendations
  • Experience working within agile design and development teams
  • Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud Admin or equivalent eCommerce platform
  • You are comfortable with HTML, CSS, Javascript, and other common UI enablement technologies.
  • Flexible and able to work with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Extremely organized & detail-oriented
  • Autonomous, proactive, with the ability to take initiative
