This quilted vest is shorter in length and meant to be worn underneath a lighter, unlined jacket or coat. It is not water-resistant so if wearing alone over a shirt, be aware of this. It fits close to the body to ensure warmth and is very comfortable. It's easy to forget you're wearing it under your outer jacket or coat. Love it!
